Disaster weddings gets a second chance
Did the dress catch fire? Did heavy rain hit the reception? Did your dog eat the wedding cake? Disappointed couples whose big day took a wrong turn now have the chance to redo their wedding day all over again.
The town of Katrineholm in Sweden is offering a complete new wedding for one couple whose big day went sideways. Anyone can now apply to win a second-chance wedding by sharing the story of how everything went wrong the first time. The new big day will take place on August 22, 2026, at the historic 17th-century manor Stora Djulö Herrgård, set in beautiful surroundings next to one of the many lakes in Katrineholm. The initiative is backed by local partners who all are contributing with everything and anything you might need for the wedding.
